Top O’ T’ill was a local name given to the mining community of Aston Colliery at the top of the hill on Mansfield Road. Our book is set from the late 1800s to the 1900s, describing village life in Aston, Ulley, Aughton, Swallownest, Fence and North Staveley, evoking many memories of days gone by.
